Why Is My Map Not Working?

If your map isn’t displaying correctly in Route Simplified—whether it’s failing to load, not showing customer pins, or displaying incorrect routing—this guide will walk you through the steps to resolve the issue.
1. Check Your Internet Connection
A stable internet connection is required to load map data. If your connection is weak or unstable, maps may not load or update in real-time.
✅ Fix: Refresh the page after confirming you have a strong internet connection.
2. Ensure Your Location Data is Complete
Maps rely on accurate customer address information. If a customer entry is missing a full address (street, city, state, zip), it may not appear on the map.
For precise location pin placement after choosing a service address, go to a service type (Oil, Trap), scroll down to Location. Click edit to move location pin. Click save.
✅ Fix: Go to the Customers pane, edit the missing or incomplete address, and save.
3. Clear Cache and Refresh
In some cases, outdated cached files may interfere with how Route Simplified loads your map data. Clearing your browser cache can help resolve these issues.

4. Verify Map Layer Selection
Sometimes users accidentally deselect key map layers such as customer pins or routing paths.

5. Check User Permissions
Only users with appropriate permissions can view certain map data, including specific depots or routes.
✅ Fix: Confirm your account has permission to access the required depot or route. If needed, contact your administrator.
6. Try a Different Browser
If the issue persists, it may be browser-specific.
✅ Fix: Try accessing Route Simplified using a supported browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
